POLICY 1 — COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy describes how Rollo Technologies Inc ('Rollo Money') uses cookies and similar technologies when you access the rollo.money website, Rollo Money mobile applications, and all online services of the platform.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when visiting a website. They allow the site to recognize your device and remember certain information about your visit, such as your language preferences, your authentication session, or your consent choices.

In accordance with the GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), and applicable national legislation, we collect your consent before placing any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the operation of the service.

2. Types of cookies used

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of rollo.money. Without them, basic services could not function. They do not require your consent.

2.2 Analytics cookies

Rollo Money uses a privacy-respecting web analytics solution that does not place any third-party cookies, does not collect IP addresses, and does not track users across sites. Data is fully aggregated and anonymous.

2.3 Marketing cookies

Currently, Rollo Money does not use any marketing or advertising cookies. In the event of a future change (Meta Pixel, Google Ads), your explicit consent will be collected before any placement. Maximum duration: 13 months.

2.4 Third-party cookies

Payment gateways and the KYC provider may place their own technical cookies necessary for processing. Rollo Money has no control over these cookies. Consult the policies of these providers for more information.

3. Cookie management

3.1 Cookie banner

During your first visit, a banner allows you to accept all cookies, refuse non-essential cookies, or customize your choices category by category. Your choice is memorized for 13 months.

3.2 Modifying consent

You can modify your choices at any time via the 'Manage cookies' link in the footer, via Settings > Privacy, or via your browser settings. Note: blocking necessary cookies may affect the platform's operation.

3.3 Retention period

No Rollo Money cookie exceeds 13 months. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies expire automatically.

POLICY 2 — REFUND POLICY

4. General principles

Rollo Money acts as a payment service provider. The primary responsibility for refunds lies with the Merchant. Rollo Money intervenes as a mediator and guarantor of Buyer protection in the cases provided below.

5. Refund cases

5.1 Automatic refund — Undelivered physical products

Funds for physical products are held in escrow. If the QR Code is not scanned within 5 days, a full refund is triggered automatically on Day+6 at 00:00.

The automatic refund on Day+6 is irreversible. No human intervention can cancel it.

5.2 Dispute refund — Non-compliant product

The Buyer may open a dispute if the received product is non-compliant, defective, damaged, insufficient in quantity, or different from the description. After review (15 days max), the refund may be full, partial, or refused.

5.3 Bank card chargebacks

The Buyer may dispute a card payment with their bank. If the chargeback is accepted, funds are debited from the Merchant's balance, even after withdrawal. The 3-day retention protects against this risk.

5.4 Digital products

Digital products are generally non-refundable after download. Exceptions: corrupted file, content different from the description, or technical error preventing delivery.

5.5 Pot contributions

Contributions are irrevocable. The only exception: a pot identified as fraudulent — full refund of all contributors after investigation.

6. Refund procedure

6.1 Filing a request

Contact support or open a dispute by providing the transaction reference, the detailed reason, and supporting documents (photos, screenshots, exchanges).

6.2 Review

Examination of history, evidence from both parties, and technical logs. The Merchant has 5 business days to respond.

6.3 Execution

Refund executed within 5 business days on the same payment method: Mobile Money to the same number, card to the same card (5 to 10 additional banking days possible).

6.4 Communication

The Buyer and the Merchant are informed at each step: acknowledgment of receipt, reasoned decision, execution confirmation.

7. Exclusions

  • Change of mind after receiving a compliant product
  • Longer delivery time but product ultimately received and compliant
  • Digital product already downloaded and functional
  • Repeated abuse of the dispute system without justification
  • Voluntary contribution to a non-fraudulent pot
  • Transaction made outside of Rollo Money

POLICY 3 — ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

8. Purpose

This policy defines the rules for using Rollo Money. Any violation may result in suspension, account closure, fund freezing, and reporting to authorities.

9. Authorized uses

  • Sale of legal physical products: clothing, electronics, food, cosmetics, crafts, furniture
  • Sale of legal digital products: e-books, training, templates, software, music, illustrations
  • Legal service provision: consulting, coaching, web development, design, translation
  • Legitimate fundraising: family events, community projects, medical emergencies
  • Association and tontine management: contributions, campaigns, payments
  • Receiving international payments via USD/EUR accounts

10. Prohibited activities

10.1 Illicit products and services

  • Narcotics, weapons, explosives, counterfeit products
  • Fake identity documents, counterfeit diplomas
  • Child pornography content or content exploiting minors
  • Human organs, protected species
  • Prescription medications without authorization

10.2 Illicit financial activities

  • Money laundering and terrorism financing
  • Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes
  • Lending or credit without a financial license
  • Unauthorized currency exchange, unlicensed gambling
  • Transaction structuring to avoid AML thresholds

10.3 Fraud and scams

  • Fraudulent shops or pots
  • Deliberately misleading product descriptions
  • Fake Mobile Money confirmation SMS
  • Identity theft, falsified KYC documents
  • Multiple accounts to circumvent limits
  • Phishing and fake sites imitating rollo.money

10.4 Technical breaches

  • Hacking, intrusion, exploitation of vulnerabilities
  • Abusive automated bots and scripts
  • Decompilation, reverse engineering of source code
  • DDoS attacks or server saturation

10.5 Prohibited content

  • Pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, or defamatory content
  • Content violating third-party intellectual property
  • Spam and unsolicited advertising

11. Consequences

  • Minor violation — Warning — compliance within 48h
  • Repeated violation — Temporary suspension 7 to 30 days — withdrawals blocked
  • Serious violation — Definitive closure — fund freezing — reporting to authorities
  • Criminal activity — Immediate closure without notice — judicial reporting — evidence preservation

12. Reporting

Any user can report a violation via contact@rollo.money (subject: Report), the Report button on each shop and pot page, or the support chat. The reporter's identity is never disclosed.
